Seven Months

Here's Curly Q doing her dance to celebrate being 7 months old! What a silly wiggle, it looks like she is dancing. She does this ALL the time! It's so funny. So, Curly Q is growing entirely too quickly. It's out of control. She is becoming very mobile. She is great at rolling to her back and to her tummy. She's even mastered the consecutive rolling. She does a good job at tangling up her oxygen cords. She's working on the scooting and army crawl. If you put a toy in front of her, she can squirm to get it. However, she's not very coordinated yet, so she ends up nose diving a lot when she's trying to squirm. We're working on having her sit by herself, and she's doing well, but she still needs quite a bit of support. She has discovered her voice and loves to scream or screech. Some days she is so loud! It is like she just wants to be heard. A couple of days ago, we finally introduced her to solid foods. We probably could have started earlier, because she LOVED her rice cereal. She gobbled it up without any problems! Yesterday, we discovered a tooth had broken through. So, now she has her first tooth! She loves to giggle, especially at her sister.

Her 6 month check up was a few weeks ago. She is now in the 50% for her head size! Yay, 50% is fantastic for being a preemie! She's also in the 25% for height and 10% for weight. But she's doing well and the doctor isn't concerned at all about her progress or anything! She is still on oxygen. We have her tested monthly to see if she can come off, but she's failed all 4 tests. So, now I'm just hoping she can come off oxygen by her first birthday! If it's sooner than that, great! Honestly, the oxygen is no big deal. We're used to it. We're just so grateful to have Curly Q as healthy as she is! She definitely adds to our family!
